Another Detail Tip from Today’s Detail

I’ve mentioned this before, but I want to share my top recommendation for cleaning and restoring rubber floor mats. It’s McKee’s Floor Mat and Cargo Liner Rejuvenator, which you can find here: https://mckees37.com/…/floor-mat-cargo-liner…. Is it a bit pricey? Yes, I admit it is. However, in my experience over the last five years, I haven’t found anything better. It cleans, restores, and protects in just one step.

Many of you recommend GUF (Gummie Fix), and I use it, too; it’s definitely great stuff. However, to be honest, I rarely use it. I only turn to it for really worn or damaged mats. McKee’s does the job for me about 85% of the time with ease. A little goes a long way, and you don’t need to use a lot to get the mats clean. Most of the time, they come out looking nearly brand new, even if they were quite dirty and worn-looking. That’s why I consistently recommend this product.

I’d love to hear your thoughts! I’ve tried 20 or 30 different products over the past five years, and personally, I haven’t found anything better. Let me know what you think. — Bobby

***Note: While these mats were not trashed, it took me less than 5 minutes to clean them and get ready to re-install them. I used maybe 1/2 ounce of product. Light spray, light scrub, done. Again, I realize that this is not the greatest example as these weren’t that bad. But I have great luck with this product, even with really hammered ones. My2CentsWorth.
