Remembering the Simple Pleasures of Life
REMEMBER WHEN?
Remember when.........as a kid U went 2 the movies on Saturday afternoon for 25 cents?
Remember when………gas was only 49.9 cents a gallon?
Remember when………it was safe to hitchike down the road a couple miles?
Remember when………family night at home was something cool to do with the folks?
Remember when………Mom could stay at home with the children?
Remember when………You could get a babysitter for 50 cents an hour?
Remember when………U would run yelling Daddy, Daddy! As he arrived home from work?
Remember when the simple pleasures of life were the best time’s of our lives?
To what do we look forward to these days? Nothing is simple any longer. We have serious issues put before us.
Peer pressure is changing our children into self made monsters.
The “MUST HAVES” of designer clothing and accessories.
The “MUST HAVES” of both parents having to work to support their families.
But what about the children?????
What supervision do our children have????? Our children are being raised by total strangers at day cares, and in schools. Our children are being raised by other people, other family members, extended family members, and sometimes total strangers.
If we could only get back to basics. If we could only get people to work together to network to utilize our resources we could make a difference.
Grant You, life will be costly at times as the times have changed, but to get back to the simple pleasures in life as spending quality time with your children and family could be a very rewarding experience.
When’s the last time you took your kids fishing? The last time you and your family had a picnic at the local park or beach? The last time you took your family to church? The last ime you read your child a story?
Remember when………the first time U fell in love with your new baby and all the promises U made to Him/Her?
